From the recording Turn Up the Divine

An uptempo folk pop rendering that takes a peek into Peter’s house, a shelter that was no doubt a rather poor fisherman’s hut of sorts, but the Lord of Glory entered it no less and worked a miracle. No matter your status in this world, be encouraged by the fact that God more often appears in little huts rather than rich homes. Jesus is wandering around your room right now, and is waiting to be gracious to you. The tender heart of Jesus waits to hear our griefs, so pour them out, pour them into his loving and patient ear. ~ E.M.

Lyrics

In the humble cottage by the sea
Sadness was draped about
The fisherman's wife was clinging to life
And hope was all but timed out

In the humble cottage by the sea
They went to him with the matter
She’d fallen ill and now laid still
And their life was fixed to shatter

In the humble cottage by the sea
(He took her hand)
In the humble cottage by the sea
(He raised her up)
In the humble cottage by the sea
(No sooner did the fever leave)
In the humble cottage by the sea
(She brought them means to sup)

In the humble cottage by the sea
The Lord of Glory was sought
He entered in and lodged in
And a miracle he did wrought

In the humble cottage by the sea
Where prayer is so beseeched
He patiently waits our whims and fates
And his tender heart is reached
