We are at war with the world… with senseless violence, with unnecessary judgement, and with a loss of compassion for our brothers and sisters. We have closed our eyes to the beauty of God’s diverse creation. We have turned our back towards those marginalized by physical and economical struggles, and we have hardened our heart towards God’s unconditional love.
It’s pretty much a given that we can’t fix what we do not recognize as broken. So I encourage you to stop, look, and listen to those around you… to those you see, hear, and feel hurting. Stop and notice! Look into their eyes, look through their eyes, and listen to their voices.
It’s a Cold War we’re battling. Step up and share some warmth, some kindness, some love. Share your voice and your gifts. Let’s serve one another and make a difference.
